The company for the most modern Intel Z590 chipset here is made up of wired and wireless adapters from the same manufacturer, while using the most modern options on the market, Wi-Fi 6E will receive support only in the upcoming Windows 10 update. The sound subsystem is based on the completely new Realtek codec. An additional DAC will help. Gen 4.0 PCI-E lanes lead to a pair of VC slots and one M.2. There are two Thunderbolt 4 ports. The main struggle for resources on the board takes pl among the drives and their slots. SATA ports 2, 5, and 6 are at risk, as on a number of motherboards with Intel Z490. They are blocked by M.2 under the second and third numbers, that is, located under the VC. For the second, which is higher, it is possible to use a PCI-E drive, which will not cut off SATA 2, only the transition to this type of interf deactivates the classic port number “2”. For SATA 5 and SATA 6, the situation is worse – any drive in the third M.2 slot will disable them. That is, the maximum number of working devices here is nine pieces (if there are ten possible connection points).

The box is from the board in traditional sizes, but now there is a handle to facilitate transportation. The top cover folds back, that is, the sides are reinforced. Many of the key aspects and distinguishing features of the product are described on the back. There is also a photo of the board, everything is quite detailed and understandable.
The most unusual and therefore notable implementation is the four M.2 drive slots. Radiators are preinstalled everywhere. You can also allocate two sockets for eight contacts for the needs of the processor and one for six – for strengthening the graphics subsystem, in the case of using multiple devices.
There is a heavy metal plate at the back. Everything looks quite restrained and solid. A screw clamp is used throughout. The LED illumination is located in the overlay above the I / O ports, the second sector is the cooler for the Intel Z590 chip.
We see four independent radiators. The central one is designed for two pls, but in the case of using one drive, the dissipation area will be increased and this is very resourceful, given the location under the warming video card.
The chipset has its own, separate cooler. There are no fans or anything like that. The chip temperature was within absolutely safe limits all the time while I was experimenting with the product.
On the processor (upper) M.2, the installation of products of very different lengths is provided, and in all other pls there will be a limitation of eight centimeters.
On the right end, longitudinal connectors are used for six SATA outputs and cable connection of case USB 3.2 Gen 1 is carried out. The manufacturers are still persistently making a contact pad for a symmetrical USB 3.2 Gen 2 output crosswise.
A pair of pads for hubs or case USB 2.0 jacks are located at the bottom edge of the board.
The division of sixteen lines from the CPU for the needs of the VC will pass between the upper PCI-E x16, the other three slots interact with the chipset. The lower one shares resources with the nearby M.2 – only one of them can work. There is nothing on the board next to the system logic, including the recently used LEDs. Repeaters (ReDriver) and switches (Mux / DeMux) of PCI-E 4.0 CPU lines are combined in one package of four new PI3EQX16012 microcircuits manufactured by Diodes Incorporated.
